Image sizes
There are two ways to approach your image sizes.
1. HD web experience: If you have a server that can handle large images like HostGator, Site5, Bluehost, etc. then crop your images 2524x1600 and add them to your website.

2. Normal web experience: If your server cannot handle large images, then crop your image width (height doesn't matter) to the same size your body width is set to (default is 900 wide). You can find your body width setting here: Login to the admin, click on the DESIGN tab, and click on the BODY tab.
Logo Size
The logo size must be at least 40 pixels tall. Our demo is around 160x40.
Branding your HTML5 Sarin website
This video steps you through the Design tab and shares all of the branding options available to you. Some of these options include Colors, logo, body size, Fonts, etc.
Adding a font
This video shows you how to change your fonts in the backend of the website. There are two ways to add a prep a font before you upload it into the backend.
1. The Easy Way - Go to http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fontface, find your font, click on the name of your font, click @font-face kit, click Download @font-face Kit.
2. I have a true type font already - Go to http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fontface/generator and use the generator to upload fonts that you already own.
* please note that if your font does not work automatically you may need to unzip the font package and pull out the font item that you would like to use ie : bold, regular, italics zip that up and insert that into the fonts section.
Settings, Watermarking, and Social Networking
This video will share some of the general options including watermarking and how to add your social networking links.

Any way to eliminate the gallery arrows?
for those of you who might be looking for further customizations to sarin:

I attempted to add a font by zipping the single font file that I wanted and uploaded it. It didn't change the fonts even though it said it successfully uploaded. Any ideas?
Can the Sarin website be set to scale to the users monitor size? Or ... what is the best size to use if you want full screen for a Gallery page instead of 900 width? Suggestions?
I am having the same problem as Theo. I have tried zipping the single file but alas...
Leah, you have to upload the font to this Font Squirrel website, ZIP it there, then download the ZIP file. Once you install that, it will work. Not sure why they didn't indicate that is MUST be done like this on their installation instructions, especially when it's so specific...
Here's the link to the Font Squirrel upload page: http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fontface/generator
Unfortantely I am following these directions and have been unsuccessful at uploading fonts into Sarin. I am exporting the font from Font Book to my desktop and then uploading the font into Font Squirrel. After that dragging the font kit from my downloads folder to my desktop and then uploading the zipped file into Sarin. Has anyone been successful at the upload process who could send me any notes? I'd completely appreciate it!!
Is it possible Sarin template does not support latest wordpress? I just upgraded to latest wordpress and now my website was reverted to the old one not Sarin.
Daniel,
I think you are talking about the blog, which is here: http://support.intothedarkroom.com/entries/21546826-sarin-blog
And to answer your question: yes, it works on the latest version of WordPress. I don't know why it would have switched your theme but just switch it back and it should be fine. :)
I had to downgrade wordpress on my hosting site in order to bring back Sarin. Weird. Will wait a while then upgrade again. This is the template without blog.
Skype doesn't use url address, but you are asking for one on the web services (social media) tab
Matthew, I believe we're actually asking for the username, not the URL. Does that make sense?
What is the name of the font used for Sarin?
It's called Ropa Sans. Here is a link to download it: http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/ropa-sans
