Stop spam from comments

Spam comments can be extremely annoying and frustrating.  Luckily, there is an awesome plugin that comes with most WordPress installations called "Akismet".  It will be in WordPress > Plugins.  Once you find it do the following (If you don't have it, just click "Add New" then search for it and install it):

  1. Activate it.
  2. Click the prompt at the top of your blog that reads "Akismet is almost ready. You must enter your Akisment API key for it to work."
  3. Click "What is this?" next to where it asks you to put in an API key.
  4. You should now be on the Akisment.com website.  Follow the instructions to get an API key.
  5. Return to your blog and go to Plugins > Akismet Configuration and input your new API key.
  6. All done!  No more spam comments!

Thanks Brad, just had a few spammers and now touch wood after doing all this they will all leave me alone

I think we should be good after I installed it i haven't had anything. when i had my old site I used to get pinged 20 times a day but as i say i haven't had anything which is amazing.
