UNDER CONSTRUCTION

The new mini sites will allow three (3) different ways of installing them.
    1. Add as a folder. The domain would look like:  http://yourdomain.com/jackandjill2011
    2. As a sub-domain:   http://jackandjill2011.yourdomain.com
    3. As a totally new domain name:  jackandjill2011.com

As a Folder (the quickest way)
As a folder, the domain would look like:  http://yourdomain.com/jackandjill2011
Once purchasing the Bloom mini-site for your client the installer will immediately go into the installation process. The installer will ask you what domain name you want to use and the sub-folder the files will be stored.

The domain name will be: yourdomain.com
The sub-folder: jackandjill2011
    - this folder, jackandjill2011, will be created automatically for you in the proper place on the server you do not need to do anything else.

Follow through with entering in the FTP information that it requests and finalize installation.
- you should not need to set up a document path, this may vary depending on your server.

*The benefit for you here is that your domain name will be in the link so that is a way for people to see your domain name in relation to the site. This is just a simple way to have your name out there for other potential clients to check you out.

*A downside: This can use up a lot of space over time and if you have a hosting company that has limitations on server capacity then you will want to consider making a move to another company that does not. Here are our preferred vendors: Hosting Plans

As a Subdomain (not as quick)
As a sub-domain, the URL will look something like:   http://jackandjill2011.yourdomain.com
A. First thing that needs to be determined is what the sub-domain name will be (jackandjill2011).

B. Create a folder on the server for this sub-domain, ideally, name it the same thing as the sub-domain. This will eliminate any confusions down the road when or if you need to sort things out. This folder can be created through a FTP client like FileZilla or whatever you favorite FTP client is. If you do not have an FTP client you can log into your cPanel.
Once in cPanel you will go to the Files section and select File Manager. Select Go. This will load a new window there will be icons along the top. You will select new folder, name it, save it.

C. If you are not logged into cPanel or your hosting companies admin area you will need to do so now. Here you will create the sub-domain.
- in cPanel: go to Domain section and select Sub-domains, enter in the sub-domain name you want (jackandjill2011) and then point it to the folder you just created. Save and you are done.
- if your hosting company does not use cPanel it may be best to call them and have them assist you in this step.

D. Once you have created the folder and sub-domain you will now want to finalize the installation. The installer will now ask for your domain name. Here you put: jackandjill2011.yourdomain.com
Nothing needs to be put in the folder area.

As a New Domain (not quick)
As a totally new domain name the URL will look something like:  jackandjill2011.com
A.  Purchase a new domain name through whomever you normally purchase them through.
-   Once purchased you will need to change the Nameservers to point to your hosting plan. You should be aware of your Nameservers for this process you can check out what yours are by going to   http://who.is/   enter in your domain name and on the left hand side there will be a section that says Nameservers and list at least 2 values in there ( i.e. ns1.domain.com & ns2.domain.com).
- Once changed this will take anywhere from 24-48 hours for the changes to go through.
- You can now go back to http://who.is/  and enter in the new domain name jackandjill2011.com and check to see what the Nameservers are when they have changed on this screen you can go to the installer (Step C)

B. While waiting for the change you can create a folder on the server for this new domain, ideally, name it the same thing as the new domain. C.  When this is done you can then resume the installation at  Installer.
-  FYI if the key does not work you can select on that screen the button that states "I don't know my product key" and it will be emailed to you.
- Enter in the new domain name that you bought and nothing in the folder area.

*The benefit here is more for the bride and groom where they will have a domain name specifically for them for however long they wish.

*A downside: Some smaller hosting plans do not support multiple add-on or secondary domain names. This will require you to upgrade your plan to allow that option. Also, there is no direct link back to you unlike the other two options where your domain name is still in the url.
