Standalone CMS platform

Wouldnt it be great of you could start thinking of a standalone html5 / flash based content managment system for images? Pretty much like slideshowpro director but better of course. Right now each of ITDR products are tied to a specific CMS but it would be better to have a general cms that could feed the other products such as Vend and Flaunt for example. In my dreams I just mark an image in the cms as "for sale" and that makes that images available in my Vend frontend. Now, I realize this is a pretty big undertaking but Im guessing this will pay off in the long run. Basically store all images in ONE place and render everywhere. Preferably with its own API so that it can be integrated with other external applications as well. As open as possible please. Also I think maybe Flash is not the best option here but rather Html5.

Great name would be "Vault" of course =)

Best,

Johan

ONE MEDIA LIBRARY/CMS TO RULE THEM ALL!  It would be awesome to be able to upload one set of high-res images and then attribute a selection of each folder to things like blog posts, slideshows, client proofing/cart galleries, and maybe even facebook galleries.  If ITDR can partner with a hosting provider that is able to offer unlimited uploads (like smugmug/zenfolio premium biz accounts) AND pair that seamlessly with the awesome ITDR designs, then they would own the market.  They could charge a monthly or annual service fee in addition to the template design fees.  It would be a comprehensive system that people could buy just a part of (templates, vend, flaunt, etc), or go all the way with a premium subscription.  The industry is hungry for something like this... somebody is going to do it sooner or later, and I would much prefer that it be ITDR. :)

i'd also like to express support for a different form of management. i'm finding now at the end of the year / beginning of a new year with a blog that it'd be so handy to be able to move all the 2012 posts into a folder or at the very least, move them to the bottom. i'm talking about the ITDR image file management. i have been naming them by month/date/year and will now have to rename things year/month/date so that i don't have to fuss around with how to find things. it'd just be so much easier if it was more of a master dashboard. not sure how this would work technically but it'd be so helpful.
